Long Island is not one place, and the difference between our two service areas is bigger than the drive between them. Montauk salt and wind destroy planting that thrives in Bellport shade. A dry well that works in Bridgehampton sand sits underwater in Shirley. East Hampton Village will review a driveway that nobody in Mastic would think twice about. And in the Forge River watershed, county nitrogen rules govern what you are allowed to put on a lawn.
Those are not trivia. They are the difference between a landscape that holds up and one that gets rebuilt in three years.

WHERE WE WORK
Two Regions, Two Very Different Briefs
Every town below has its own page covering local soil, drainage, permits and what we actually run into there.
Southampton
Village architectural review, a high water table near the ponds, and estate-section standards. We have worked inside all three.
East Hampton
One of the strictest review boards on the East End, serious tree protection, and wetland setbacks around Hook Pond. Plan for it or lose a season.
Montauk
Salt spray, constant wind, thin soil over glacial till, and deer that eat what survives. The hardest growing conditions on the East End.
Patchogue
Village lots, century-old housing stock, and streets where a full-size machine simply will not fit. Village work, not estate work.
Bellport
A historic village with real review standards, bay frontage, and a mature canopy. Then a very different story outside the village line.
Shirley
Small post-war lots, a high water table, and sixty-year-old trees that have outgrown the yards they were planted in.

Questions About Our Service Area
How far does your service area actually run?
From Patchogue on the South Shore of Brookhaven, east through the Moriches and Eastport, and on out through the Hamptons to Montauk Point — plus Shelter Island by ferry. Twenty-two towns.
Is the South Shore work different from the East End?
Substantially. The South Shore is flatter and lower with a much higher water table, smaller post-war lots, and year-round residents — so drainage and grading dominate. The East End is sandier and more exposed, with strict village review boards and a lot of seasonal property. Different problems, same crews and same standard.
Do you charge more for one area than the other?
Everywhere between Patchogue and Amagansett prices the same. Montauk and Shelter Island carry a real travel or ferry cost and we show it as a line rather than burying it.
Do you cross to the North Fork?
Not routinely. Our crews, yards and suppliers are all South Shore and South Fork. We would rather say so than stretch and give you a worse job.
Can you handle a property we only visit in season?
Yes — property management and oversight between visits is a large part of what we do, on both ends of the service area.
